Welcome to Joe's!
Since our foundation in 1953, Saint Joseph's Boys AFC has progressed from its humble beginnings into a football club that has consistently produced a succession of youngsters who have succeeded in being placed amongst the top echelon of footballers.
Players such as Paul McShane (Sunderland), Andy Keogh (Wolves), Alan Judge (Blackburn) to name but a few, have played their part in assisting Premier clubs and Irish Youth Football to compete at the highest level on the world stage. The result is a bright future for Irish Football as a whole. No fewer than 14 players from Joes have worn the green jersey for Ireland at various levels this season.
When players enter Saint Joseph's as youngsters they are joining a club with a solid infrastructure and a forward thinking management executive who possess the ability to meet the needs of these children well into the next century. We provide the facilities and qualified people for all our players to enjoy their own special time at Saint Joseph's.
The establishment of our partnerships and relationships with the League of Irelands Bray Wanderers and several English clubs such as Newcastle United, Charlton Athletic, Manchester Utd, Wolves, Blackburn Rovers etc. as well as continental clubs such as FC Utrecht (Holland), Lyngby (Denmark), Valencia (Spain) has opened up huge opportunities for all of our members as we continue to move forward. I believe that Saint Joseph's Boys provides an excellent safe and professional environment to nurture the skills and talent of our young footballers for the future.
The winning of the FAI Club of the Year award in 2008/09 recognises the work Joeys and the players have contributed to Irish football and the development of childcare – one, which we are very proud of.
Joining and being a part of Joeys is different than any other clubs. We focus on the players’ interest first and all our work is player centred and about building young children to face the challenges ahead not just in football but life.
We hope you find our website useful and if you considering joining, visiting etc. you are, indeed, very welcome!!
